Unfortunately most of the convertible build pics were lost when my last laptop went all "pete tong" but I'll keep putting more up as i go along.
I've been building this car now for longer than i care to remember due to working away from home for long periods of time, but i'm getting there.
It's a mk3 capri but roofless obviously. it's got a standard 3ltr essex, originally it was an auto but now, thanks to ebay it's got a recon 5 speed box fitted. There's a was a "Cartel" over bumper kit fitted and blended in but this has been changed for an under bumper kit which i think looks a load better!!!!!
It's got a 1/2 leather interior with the rear cards being modified to accept some speakers, white dials and ally dashboard. ther's also a "Tickford" style centre console fitted.
Still not totally decided on the wheels but at the moment a set of 17" TSWs are favoured, although if the cashflow allows i'd like a set of 17" RS seven spokes.
got some more work done, had a few plan changes, a different body kit front and rear, plus the graphics, but it's all coming together nicely now!
few more pics taken today..... am getting sore fingers t-cutting back the bodywork!!!! but it's looking soooooooo good.. lol
Also tidy'd the cables in the boot, decided i didn't like the landy power steering resevoir so changed it for another one i'd picked up a while ago, think it looks loads neater. Then made a start on trying to find out why the leccy arial now won't work.. arrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!! (also heater motor now won't work but i'll leave that to another day/year.
